Preoperative Laboratory Test
Preoperative laboratory testing is an integral part of the internal preoperative assessment performed prior to surgical procedures requiring anesthesiologic care. (1, 2) It serves as an important source of information for both the surgeon and the anesthesiologist. In two variants—one for general anesthesia and one for local anesthesia—we offer up to 19 laboratory parameters. Their examination provides essential information about the patient’s overall health status and helps mitigate potential risks during the surgical procedure as well as during postoperative healing.

About this test
Preoperative laboratory testing is an integral part of the internal preoperative assessment performed prior to surgical procedures requiring anesthesiologic care. (1, 2) It serves as an important source of information for both the surgeon and the anesthesiologist. In two variants—one for general anesthesia and one for local anesthesia—we offer up to 19 laboratory parameters. Their examination provides essential information about the patient’s overall health status and helps mitigate potential risks during the surgical procedure as well as during postoperative healing.
We have prepared two variants of laboratory testing for you:
Preoperative Laboratory Test – General Anesthesia
The Preoperative Laboratory Tests – General Anesthesia package is an essential part of the required preoperative examination before a planned surgical procedure. It includes a thorough analysis of blood and urine, which is indispensable before surgery under general anesthesia.
Preoperative Laboratory Test – Local Anesthesia
Preoperative laboratory testing before a procedure under local anesthesia helps identify hidden health risks that could affect the course of the procedure and subsequent healing. The test package includes an evaluation of blood count, blood clotting, liver and kidney function, blood glucose, essential minerals, and selected infectious diseases.
